Obituary for Zackary Ryan Pope
Zackary Ryan Pope of Salem passed away on April 5, 2023 at the age of 34.
He was born on August 23, 1988 in Salem, Oregon to Dyan Pope and Angel Rodriguez. He has too many living relatives to even count, including his children, cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and grandparents Howard and Judy Pope of Monmouth, as well as his mom, dad, and brother Alex Gerber.
Zack grew up in Keizer and attended public schools there, graduating from McNary High School in 2006. His greatest achievements, Allie and Ryan , were born in Salem, Oregon on March 9, 2009.
His childhood and early adulthood was filled with sports and other activities with friends, including more than his fair share of shenanigans.
In his adult years he enjoyed an adventurous lifestyle packed with driving, hiking, and spending his available time with his children. Those were all things of which he loved very much. His comedic view in life always provided his loved family and friends with amusement, sarcasm, and just a general good sense of humor.
Although he was very reserved, his presence was always truly unforgettable. He will be missed by his family and friends near and far.
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at West Salem Foursquare Church. Private interment will follow at a later date. Assisting the family is Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center.
