Obituary for Yvonne Marie McKechnie (Marty)
Yvonne M. McKechnie

Born in White Earth Reservation, Minnesota to Dorothy and Harold Marty. She graduated from Johnson High School in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1958. She met the love of her life, Donald McKechnie, in junior high. They got married in February 1958. The priest that officiated was recently released from a concentration camp, and this was his first marriage performed in the states. Shortly after, they moved to California where they started a family and had four beautiful children – Michelle, Su-Z, Annetta and Donny. Over the years she worked as a nurse aide, school bus driver, 4H cooking leader, cake decorator, candy maker’s daughter but she made my peanut brittle. They moved to Airlie, Oregon in 1969 from Riverside, California where they settled. She is Survived by her husband, Don McKechnie, three children, Suzanne, Annette, and Donald, two grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Yvonne was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle and grandson, Jeremy.
