Obituary for Mary Ann Fahey (Friesen)

Mary Ann Fahey went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 5, 2023.

She was born to Ben & Susie Friesen on September 6, 1935. She was the second of three children. The family lived on a farm just outside of Independence, until they moved to Dallas where she graduated from Dallas High School in 1953.
She has two children from a previous marriage, Lonnie (Diane Lorin) Isaac, and Darla (Allen Risen) Campbell, as well as many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She married Robert “Bob” Fahey on October 11, 1979.
She retired from the State of Oregon in 1993, and then they started their retirement adventures. They both loved the Lord and volunteered their time at many churches, as well as joining the MAPS RV Volunteer group that traveled to various locations (Alaska, New Mexico, Arizona) to either repair, rebuild, or totally construct churches and other facilities. They would spend weeks, if not months at these locations living out of their 5th wheel.

They also spent a few months in Maui volunteering their time at the Haggai Institute, which works to spread the word of God.

They bought a second home in Ajo, Arizona and spent many years being snowbirds, spending their winters in the sun of the southwest.

She volunteered many hours at the Dallas and Ajo Food Banks and would package up boxes of food to deliver to the homebound seniors in town every week.

They loved to travel, from all over the US to Ireland, England, Amsterdam, and two mission trips to Africa, along with a cruise to Alaska with her daughter.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 2012, her brothers John and Roy Friesen.

Memorial Service will be held at Bollman Tribute Center’s Chapel, on Friday, March 10th at 1:00pm.
Private interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.
