John Robert Berens passed away February 7, 2023 in Monmouth, Oregon at the age of 74. He was born May 16, 1949 in Omaha, Nebraska to John Robert Berens and Arlene Steward Berens.
John was raised in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating from Papillion High School in 1968. John started his commercial driving career in Oregon in 1984 when he moved from Alaska. John was an outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing, music and the 60’s. John worked hard and played hard. He enjoyed parties and sports.
John is survived by his wife Janyce Berens and two daughters Jessica Greenberg and Janet Keller, four grandchildren, Alyssa Berens, Tyler Greenberg, Katie Greenberg and Sonya Keller, and one great-grandson Johnny Berens. Siblings Bobby Berens, Carol Cronin, Kevin Berens and Patrick Berens. John was well-liked by his coworkers and friends, especially his family.
