Freddie Jane Aggas, age 86, died February 23, 2023 in Salem, Oregon
Children were Mom's heart beat. Her Joy. From early on working at a children's dental office for Dr. Gray and later on becoming the director of Oak View pre-school - which she did for many years. She hosted a vacation Bible school in our garage during the summer.
She was in charge of children's church for years and it was a blast! In the 1970's, mom and dad sponsored a Vietnamese family that Butch (her brother) rescued from the communist takeover. Three of the kids lived with our family for over a year until the parents were cleared for relocation. Tuan, Thu-Van and Thu-Ha became our extended brother and sisters. It was a bitter/sweet moment when their family was reunited, and they left us to begin a whole new life together.
Later, as empty nesters, Mom encouraged Dad that they needed to look into being foster parents, which they did.
Mom loved and adored all her grand children, Benjamin Coleman, Jordan Coleman, Tiffany Aggas Cameron Aggas, and Bethany Aggas. Her great grandchildren are Chase Kaleta, Paige Kaleta, Ashton Aggas, Samantha Aggas, Anthem Bettis and Arrow Bettis.
She never wasted a minute showing the love of God to everyone she came into contact with. As you can see, Mom's devotion to children was her mission in life and she loved every minute she shared with each and every one of them.
Services will be held Saturday March 4, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center
