Obituary for Cindy Jane Gagznos
Cindy Jane Gagznos, 70, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 9th, 2023. She was the third of thirteen children born to Cletus and Gloria Rainey in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Jane was raised in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, where she graduated from Mt. Vernon High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Edward David Gagznos, on December 27th, 1971.
She followed her husband around the US during his tour of duty with the US Air Force. Upon discharge they settled to raise their family in Dallas, Oregon in the mid-70s.
Survived by Husband Edward David, Children: Joe Gagznos and his wife Katie and grandchildren Vincent and Roman, Nora Parnell and her husband Kevin and grandchildren Brooke, Jenessa, and Justin, Kim Caswell and her husband Tommy and grandchildren Jackson, Aidan, and Griffin, David Gagznos and his wife Teresita, and Daniel Gagznos. Siblings: Kerry Rainey, Jerry Rainey, Sue Bean, Dan Rainey, Barbara Ortgiesen, Judy Lambert, “Reenie” Burdin, Rebecca Hester, Tammy Beard, Linda Martin, Mark Rainey and Shawn Rainey. Sisters-in-law: Maryanne Susan LaBeaume and husband Kenneth, and Nora Carolyn Dillion.
Jane enjoyed trips to the Oregon Coast, studying genealogy and spending time with her family and beloved dogs: Molly, Penny, and Toby.
The Funeral Service for Cindy Jane Gagznos will be Tuesday, May 16th at 11:00 am with visitation Monday, May 15th from 2 pm -5 pm both at Bollman’s Tribute Center, 287 SW Washington Street, Dallas, Oregon 97338. www.dallastribute.com. Interment will follow at Dallas Cemetery.
