Barbara J. Montgomery Stephens
Our beloved mom, Barbara J. Montgomery Stephens, went peacefully into the arms of our Lord early Saturday morning; March 25, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family.
Barbara was born to Clarence and Marie Young on October 10, 1934. She grew up in the Salem area. She attended school at the Seventh Day Adventist School in Fallas City, Livingston Academy and graduated from Falls City High School.
She met Harvey Montgomery, and they married in April of 1952. They raised six children together. Harvey passed in 2001. Barbara was blessed enough to find love again with Al Stephens who attended the same church in Falls City. They married and brought happiness to each other until Al passed last May.
Barbara was proceeded in death by her brother Jim Young, her daughter Roxanna Dunbar, her son Steven Montgomery, her grandson Kevin Montgomery Jr, and her great grandson Cody Hutchison. She is survived by her sister Darlene Fitzgerald, her daughters Debbie Prescott (Don), Connie Ritchey, Linda Axford (Jerry), and her son Kevin Montgomery. As well as many grandchildren and extended family. She is much loved and will be greatly missed by many.
Barbara’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 1st at 3:00pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Falls City (205 N Main St, Falls City, OR 97344). Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family.
